Site Security

I'm building a site for a company on where some clients are invited to login and check their information, this is an investment company and what the company is trying to show to their clients is their balances.

I been asked to secure this site and i wonder if anybody con recommend any way of secure this site or provide any comments.

First, make sure you check with their Broker/Dealers Compliance Officer first before you start something that can't get approved later.   They will probably want some details and sample coding and sample screens.

Otherwise, you can use a serverside scripting like php, asp and a handful of other serverside languages.   As long as the page has some type of password associated with it you should be good.

Of course, this is more complex then simple once you get into it.   You will also want to make sure balances are created dynamically and not a file to download.
