maven web applications help

any good examples on creating
maven web applications step by step using spring, hibernate etc.


i see one example

I do not see

run as
maven clean
maven install
maven build
steps followed except
right click on project
maven--->update project

Is the above step alone is fine. what are other mandotory steps we have to take to build, deploy, run maven applications. where do i see the downloaded jars in my local machine/repository. how do i package this application and run on other my laptop. I believe maven provides adantage of easy packaging redeploying right

Please advise.
