VBScript add a user to member of Computer account


Can Anybody help me to create a VB Script which helps me to add a computer account to be a member of a domain group... ?

Could write you a quick script but MS already offer this one which should do you.... as it stands you call the VBS with group(s) you want on the command line.


The code is always the same, but here is the code to add the current computer you run the script on, to a group that you already know the full DN of.

strGroupDN = "CN=GroupName,OU=GroupsOU,DC=domain,DC=com"
Set objGroup = GetObject(strGroupDN)
Set objADSysInfo = CreateObject("ADSystemInfo")
Set objComputer = GetObject("LDAP://" & objADSysInfo.ComputerName)
If (objGroup.IsMember(objComputer.AdsPath) = False) Then 
	objGroup.PutEx ADS_PROPERTY_APPEND, "member", Array(objComputer.distinguishedName)
End If
