Advanced search fields auto appear

I have outlook 2010. It crashed on me during the week. Now when i click in the search field i have to type in the advanced field like "to:tom subject:foo attachment:yes"

Previously as soon as I clicked on search the search bar extended for these fields to appear. How can I get this?

Did you run "Repair" program installation after the crash?
Control Panel / Programs / Programs & Features -> Select MS Office and "Change"
Then select "Rapair"

Try as suggested above first if not fixed
please try uninstall office suit restart PC and install office back.
