I run a small business (emphasis on small)  .
I am buying a HP ML350 running Small Business Server 2008.  I have some pc’s running Windows 7 Pro.
I understand there are difficulties in connecting Windows 7 pc’s to Small Business Server 2008.

What steps would you take to connect Windows 7 Pro machines to a Small Business Server 2008 domain?

Thank you for your help.

Works just fine...

Just make sure to use the wizards in SBS to add PC's... Do NOT try to add them manually!

http://connect in Internet Explorer.
Make sure and do all the update on the SBS 2008 first.

One additional note, make sure the Windows 7 PCs have .NET 4 runtime installed in order to run the connect web app.

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

Thank you for the prompt replies.  I had read some information stating Small Business Server 2008 needed something called “rollup 4 “ in order to allow Windows 7 pc’s to connect to a Small Business Server 2008 domain.

What can you tell me about this “rollup 4”?

It is a SBS update. That is what I meant about installing all the updates.

Here is the information you requested.
