I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

We are currently running 2008 Standard (it is NOT actually 2008R2). I also noticed another article mentions the following:-

"So on Windows Server 2008 32bit you have to prepare the forest/domain with the new way remote from Windows Server 2012."

http://msmvps.com/blogs/mweber/archive/2012/07/27/upgrading-an-active-directory-domain-from-windows-server-2008-or-windows-server-2008-r2-to-windows-server-2012.aspx

Why this should be i'm not sure, but would I be correct in saying that from this info, you would put the 2012 dvd into the 32bit 2008 server and remote to the 2008 server from 2012 to run adprep on 2008 ?
