Time warner fiber

Time Warner is offering a service (100Mb fiber) in our area and I wanted to solicit feedback on their uptime, service quality, etc.

Any information is highly appreciated. This is for a business that is highly dependent on consistent Internet connectivity.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is this all new lines run to your location? If all new fiber then I would expect good service as TWC has the resources to keep a good setup running. The issue I had with them once was moving into a location that had old lines running to it. It took having them come out multiple times to put in all new lines and then I got good speeds.

I agree with ARusso. Our building had new fiber lines and we've had about 3 fiber cuts in the past 10yrs., but other than that they are pretty reliable. Fiber cuts have been due to city water or construction in the area, not really TWCs fault.

Had another location where it was all old equipment in New York and I had to go with another provider that had new equipment and fiber lines because I kept having issues with TWC at that location.

If old lines in your new location, it just takes time (took me about 6 months) and a lot of annoying calling to get them to keep sending guys out to fix it. Each one does a little bit and thinks they fixed it until I had all new lines from the central hub all the way to my location.

Annoying but worked.
