Content-Type appended to subject line Exchange 2010

Our order processing system sends out email order confirmations through our mailserver after a customer places and order online. We upgraded to exchange 2010 last week and now all of the subject lines  have "Content-Type: text/plainMessage-ID: <d18a0837-f41d-4df9" appended to the subject line.

The subject should be this:
"Order Number W00399330000"

and instead the email is sent with this subject line
"Order Number W00399330000Content-Type: text/plainMessage-ID: <d18a0837-f41d-4df9"

any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you checked it at your gateway level?
Are you using Edge server?

No, all the exchange roles are on one server.

I figured it out. In the data stream that is sent from Exchange 2003 it would say "Return-Path" after the subject content in the email header. With Exchange 2010 it says "Content-Type" immediately after the subject content in the header. I had to change the delimiter in the order confirmations program we use.

There was not really a problem with Exchange. Just a different format for the headers. Problem solved. Thanks for your help
