Boostrapper Has Stopped Working

Error : Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper Has Stopped Working ,
when trying to install Lync 2013 (32 bit) ,

Already removed MS Office 2010
Removed Microsoft Office folder in C:\Program Files (x86)

Re-installed Office 2010


Same error when trying to install Lync 2013.

Tried Microsoft Fix it tool for : unable to install / uninstall a program.

Also , different user logged on to computer - same error.

Is Kaspersky anti-virus installed?

If yes, removed it and try again.

Fixed it by doing following :

Removed Office 2010

Removed Office Folder Directories (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office)

Rebooted

Ran "Microsoft Fix it 50450" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179) to clean up registry.

Installed Lync 2013 first , then Office 2010 ...

We had Cryptolocker group policies blocking access to certain folders.  Once we moved the computer out of the OU where the policy was applied the install worked.
