Using the correct memory

I am currently looking at buying a refurbished HP ProLiant DL380 G6 2U Rack Server - 2 x Intel Xeon X5550 2.66GHz. This system comes with no memory so I am looking to reuse some memory that I currently have that came out of ether a ProLiant DL380 G6 or G7. I tried looking up the module number of the HP memory on line but had no luck with finding the model memory I have. I want to use 4 4GB 2RX4 Pc3-10600R-9-10-jpthe Part# is SB500203-061 to give me a total of 16Gb do you think this is possible?

Yes you can use the memory configuration mentioned above.

For more information on HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 6 QuickSpecs, visit the link below and check the memory section.

If you look up your part no (without the SBS on the front) you'll see they are 500658-B21 which are listed in the quickspecs above. It won't be properly balanced with 4 of them since Xeon 55/5600 cpus have 3 memory channels each but it'll still work OK.
