Galaxy S3 screen problem.

Not sure if this is a screen problem or a internal hardware problem but last night I left my Samsung galaxy s3 on my desk  and when I woke up and turned it on, the screen wont boot to anything its just all fuzzy like. That's kind of the best way to describe what the display is showing. What im asking though is, is whwther or not this has happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix I (software wise) or is it the lcd itself and does that need to be replaced.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You've pulled the battery, let it sit for a minute, and plug it back in?

Can you get into recovery or download mode? Do you see the Samsung logo initially when you first turn on the phone after it has been completely powered off?
It sounds like the LCD is the issue. You can eliminate the OS however by the following article:
