Cannot delete Distribution Group in Exchange

I am logged in to SBS2008 as the domain admin and each time I tried to remove a distribution group either in Exchange or SBS Console or management shell i get access is denied because of insufficient rights.

I see that this group is managed by administrator and yet I cannot delete it.

Thanks in advance

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This should assist :

This is for exchange 2007 but the same commands should work.

Thanks and that sounds like it but I am still unclear on what role or access rights do I need to assign to myself to be able to accomplish the deletion of the DG.  I have tried the following but it doesn't seems right.

Add-ADPermission –identity "DG TO DELETE" –User Administrator –AccessRights OrganizationManagement –Properties “MEMBER NAME”

Remove-DistributionGroup -Identity "DG TO DELETE"

Actually I found the solution.  What happened was that the object was protected from accidental deletion.  I had to go to Active Directory, choose the distribution group to delete, go to properties of the DG then uncheck the "protect object from accidental deletion" box in the Object tab.  Then now the object is removable.
