Ipad with IOS 5.1.1 unable to view exchange email anymore
Hi Experts,
we have an old ipad 1 running IOS 5.1.1 which seems to be the latest version available for it and it has Exchange email setup on it which has been working fine until recently. The same person also has an Iphone 4S with the same exchange email account setup and recently updated IOS to version 7 on there iphone4s and it looks like since doing this he is unable to get email on the ipad anymore. Could it be related to the iphone firmware update or just a co-insistence?
When going into the email app & viewing the exchange email account an error message says "cannot get mail The connection to the server failed". I have tried removing the exchange account on the ipad and re-setting up and all the tick boxes for the server/username/ password are ticked and it seems to verify all the info fine but when trying to view email the same error message always appears.
Microsoft Exchange 2010 on a server running Windows server 2008 R2 is hosting the exchange email at the company offices.
Any ideas what could be causing this issue / how to resolve?
Thanks
Kevin

Have you tried to reset Network Settings?

All Iphone users. I.e people with iphone 4, 4s and 5 all have email on there iphone working fine since upgrading to IO7. It's only this one user that has both an old Ipad1 and an iphone 4s thats the issue. There iphone4s email works fine, it's only there Ipad that has the issue it does not have IOS7 installed as its old ipad and not compatible with IOS7. So maybe the fact that IOS7 is on there iphone is a bit of a red herring
No exchange 2010 has not been restarted - I can try this when I next get chance, probably this evening.
No service pack, Exchange is version 14.01.0218.013
Please clarify what you mean by resetting network settings? - do you mean some network settings on the ipad?
