I am running SQL 2005 on Windows7 and would like to run SQL 2008 R2 on the same box

Hello Experts;

I am running SQL 2005 on Windows7 and would like to run SQL 2008 R2 on the same box.  Looking at the SQL Server Installation Center for SQL 2008 R2 there are 2 Image installations, Image preparation or Image completion.  Which one should I choose or am I way off base here on installing 2 separate versions of SQL?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

it is ok to have to sql instances like you wish,
just go ahead with sql2008r2 install and select named instance
that you will  connect later as yourpc\namessql2008rsql server.

can you just run the install from DVD and select named instance?

about sysprep image install  Image preparation and Image completion
•By using the Prepare Image step, you can prepare one or more unconfigured instances of SQL Server on the same computer. You can configure these prepared instances by using the Complete Image step on the same computer.
