Can't create ACCDE (File already in Use)

Hi,

I am trying to compile my Access 2010 database.
When I try to save the new ACCDE I get a message;

"Could not use C:\..\..\database ; File Already In Use"

Why am I getting this error?  The database won't compile!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First, with no one in, make sure there is no .LDB file in the directory.

Then, make sure it compiles taking care of any errors.  You can't make a MDE if the DB doesn't compile.

Jim.
