Hi,

Just get to know that there is only one recipient getting this NDR

Error Type: SMTP
Error Description: Unable to find the recipient's email server. The DNS query has failed.

Others are fine. Why is that so ?

The SPF record is wrong. Whoever verified it for you didn't know what they were doing. You can only have one record, so that needs to be corrected.

However SPF has nothing to do with inbound email, so that isn't the cause of your problem.
If a single sender is getting the problem then I would say it isn't your issue. Their server is unable to query the DNS records, probably due to a problem at their end.

Hi Simon,

could you please correct me which spf record should i keep?

i use spf record wizard to re-generate it, should i just keep this spf record?

v=spf1 ptr ip4:101.xx.xx.45 mx:mail.abc.com -all

thanks

As long as the record is correct, then keep the one you have outlined. You do need to ensure that that are completely correct, as the record has a hard fail tag (-all) which means if it is wrong, email could be lost.

Hi Simon,

Right now there are several senders not able to send to one of our recipient.

There is no NDR sent to them, somehow the email just missing.

How to verify is not our issue? already perform traceroute at both server. mxtoolbox show both mx record is okay.

thanks

As the recipient, it is impossible to know what is happening to those messages. Until they are delivered to your server you have no control over them.
One of the senders needs to run a trace (depending on the mail server, this could be different things) to see what is happening with the messages.
