network issues

Hi,

what is wrong with network if sometimes you need to renew the ip addresses on our desktop computers? Like for example, our Outlook displayed disconnected and I need to restart the PC or use ipconfig /renew to back up and running again. Thanks

First try checking your DHCP server's Lease Time, change it longer if the current value is less than 1 day or 1440 minutes.

thanks for replying. I've checked it and it says 2 days.
Are you running out of the number of DHCP leases available? That is, DHCP is set for 50 users and you have 55.

Who supplies DHCP?  Router or Server?

our old DC the dhcp still active. I disabled them. Is there any other things that I need to disable aside from dhcp?
