Is there a way to share calendars across forests other then a federation trust?

We just started a cross-forest migration to move to an internal domain space that we can get certificates for.   We have another domain from a company that we acquired now and our execs want to see each others calendars.  We have a VPN connection and a cross-forest trust setup.   Our domain is not quite ready for user migrations and they are still on Exchange 2003.  I have a lot of work to do for our new domain (policys, security groups, accts, migrations) to get us to where we are ready and plus get them upgraded to 2010 with a cert in order to attempt a federation trust.  I was wondering if anyone knows of a quicker way to have the execs see once another calendars?    I was even thinking of training them on how to send each other a copy of their calendar but not sure if something else would work better...

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

We have been using the MFG in our org (exchange 2010) and it works nicely, very easy and quick to set it up. I haven't encountered any issue yet.

Other than that, you can try to take a look at this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123590.aspx or using Sharepoint
