Send mail out from a different domain on a different mail server on same exchange server

I have a 2007 exchange server that has 2 domains configured to use it and I want each domain to use different smart host outgoing  mail servers, how do I do this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You would create a different send connector based on the recipient address.

I created another send connector and it didn't work. I did * to send out using the send connector I created.

Exchange 2010 itself cannot do the deed without a sender based custom transport agent or 3rd party.  Which is what the above is.
You can, did you restart Transport Services after you created the new Send Connector?
