recover a windows profile

I integrated a workstation into our domain and then proceeded to copy the original local profile over the new domain profile. Windows 7 pro sp1 32bit 4Go

To accelerate matters I manually copied the "My Documents", "My Pictures", and "Desktop" over to the new profile before copying the profile itself.

I used "Windows Enabler" to allow the "copy to" after having rebooted the computer and logging in as domain admin.

Little did I didn't realise that the copied over files would disappear in the "copy to" profile transfer process.

Is there any way to recover those lost folders, and their contents ?

I installed softlogic's Handy Recovery but it hasn't detected any deleted files in the profiles folders (original or new profile)

any ideas ?

You could try doing a system restore to before you attempted the copy to.

You could also navigate to the folder and do a Restore previous versions to see if it populates
