cffileupload not triggering onuploadcomplete

Having an issue where onuploadcomplete is not being fired off when uploading a file using cffileupload.

The file does get uploaded, it does get processed, but the cffileupload interface just gets stuck at 100% with the words uploading.

<cfset RandomNumber = #CREATEUUID()#>

<cfoutput>
<script>
function uploadCompleteHandler()
{
window.location = 'ThankYou.cfm?ident=#RandomNumber#';
}
</script>
</cfoutput>

<cffileupload addbuttonlabel="Add File(s)" align="Center" clearbuttonlabel="Clear File(s)" deletebuttonlabel="Delete File(s)" extensionfilter="csv" height="350" hideuploadbutton="no" maxfileselect="1" maxuploadsize="50" onuploadcomplete="uploadCompleteHandler" progressbar="yes" stoponerror="no" title="CSV Uploader" uploadbuttonlabel="Upload File(s)" url="process.cfm?RandomNumber=#RandomNumber#" width="550"   />

Any decent free alternatives to this out there that are fairly easy to implement?

i tried your code and it seems working in all browsers:

i tried following

<cfset RandomNumber = #CREATEUUID()#>

<cfoutput>
<script>
function uploadCompleteHandler()
{
alert("Thanks");
alert("window.location = 'ThankYou.cfm?ident=<cfoutput>#RandomNumber#</cfoutput>'");
window.location = 'ThankYou.cfm?ident=<cfoutput>#RandomNumber#</cfoutput>';
}
</script>
</cfoutput>

<cffileupload addbuttonlabel="Add File(s)" align="Center" clearbuttonlabel="Clear File(s)" deletebuttonlabel="Delete File(s)" extensionfilter="csv" height="350" hideuploadbutton="no" maxfileselect="1" maxuploadsize="50" onuploadcomplete="uploadCompleteHandler" progressbar="yes" stoponerror="no" title="CSV Uploader" uploadbuttonlabel="Upload File(s)" url="process.cfm?RandomNumber=#RandomNumber#" width="550"   />

Open in new window

so alert is showing in all browsers, please note i have only IE10 to test and other browsers like chrome, firefox, safari, opera

ya not sure this is CF 9, I did get it to work once when I tried again and then after it did not.

I ended up switching to C# ajaxuploader

Which browser you have, i will create a working URl for you so you can actually check, i will hosting it on CF10 server as my host has CF10.

CF9 is on my Local, so i cannot show you but i confirmed in above post it works

Matt GrofskyAuthor Commented:
I believe it works, my code works as well on another server running CF9, just not this one.  Looks like it may have to do with the most recent patch or update installed, its the only difference between the two.

I have safari, chrome and firefox.

Either way I abandoned it in CF and opted for C# as a working alternative.

A rollback of the server to an image prior to installing an update fixed the issue.
