Just as a sidenote, installing applications on a separate partition is not as good an idea as it might sound. &nbsp;You may think that it will prevent reinstalling the app should you need to reinstall Windows; this is never the case though as huge apps like VS will write files all over the place as the link above by GaryC123 mentions.<br />

Installing apps on another partition is only useful IMO if the installer used offers a &quot;portable&quot; install option, where everything is written to the chosen directory.

Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate Installation
