How can i tell which server is my primary dc and which is my secondary?

You could open up command prompt and type the following

nltest /dclist:domainname

The one marked PDC is your primary
There is no such thing as a primary DC and hasn't been since Windows NT.

One DC will by default hold the FSMO roles though - see http://blogs.technet.com/b/mempson/archive/2007/11/08/how-to-find-out-who-has-your-fsmo-roles.aspx

Unless you have changed it - the first DC that was created will hold all the FSMO roles
