I have a comma delimited text file that I want to upload with the asyncfileupload, but then I need to get it into a dataset.  Do I have to get it to a streamreader  then to a dataset.  Any help is greatly appreciated.   I need to do this in vb code behind.

Hi,

You may have to upload the file and save it on the Server(may be a temporary location)! Now you can read the file and update the content to the Dataset!

Check this code project article  - http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/547758/Insert-into-database-from-CSV-file

Another article - http://geekswithblogs.net/dotNETvinz/archive/2011/01/03/uploading-and-importing-csv-file-to-sql-server-in-asp.net.aspx

May be the articles which i have provided contains C# code, which you can easily convert to VB code using Telerik Code converter - http://converter.telerik.com/

Hope it helps u...

You can use TextFieldParser class to read the file and then add rows to datatable
