Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller limitations in a 300 XenDesktops farm?

Hello there,

We have prod XenDesktop farm with 2 x Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller, we have rolled out 300 XenDesktops via MCS using VMWare hypervisor.

We are planning to increase number of VM's to 1500, please advise what is the impact on Desktop Delivery controller, when all these machines gets registered? Should we need to add additional DDC? What is the maximum that 2 x DDC can handle?

Please advise.

Thanks and Regards,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A virtual DDC assigned 2 vCPUs and 4GB RAM can handle 2500 virtual desktop boots / user logons in 4 hours.
