MS Outlook 2013 keep asking for authentication

Hi Experts,

Our exchange environments have been migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013. Now some of the users are experienced the problem that they have to input the authentication every time they launch MS Outlook 2013 or while using MS Outlook, it popup windows asked for authenticate, even we have set "Remember Password"

Where should I need to look into to troubleshoot this problem? Thank you

Try removing the stored password from credential manager, then use the save button again. there is a know issue with it, not overwriting the info after it changes.

Hi,

Today I am experiencing some users still having the same problem, they have popup windows asking for credential when launching outlook. I have checked in Credential Manager in Control Panel and removed the old exchange server credential, but the problem still exist.

Do you have any alternative to work around this problem? Thank you

If the users are internal and on the domain, then you shouldn't get authentication prompts at all. Has anything been changed from the default configuration with regards to Autodiscover, IIS or Outlook Anywhere? Workarounds shouldn't be required because this simply shouldn't happen.

Do try a repair of the Outlook profile to begin with though - Outlook 2013 seems to have some problems getting updated after a migration.

This afternoon, some users while using their outlook, they still had popup for credential randomly. It happened for both user using Outlook  2010 and 2013. So far, the only thing I tried was go to Credential Manager and remove the old exchange credential. This method is working on some users but not all. As I estimated, 50% of users are still got hit by this annoying popup.

1 thing more that I have tried after the user can not close popup authentication windows.  I go to Control panel/Mail/Email Account/ Change
I remove the Using Cache, then restart the outlook. for some reason, this works again on some machine but not all.

All the users in my environment are domain user, login internal domain. Do you think is there any methods that I should to try? Thank you.
