Scrum Tool : I want a simple but good one

I have viewed videos on "Scrum" tools and they seem very useful for managing software projects.

Question 1: Are scrum tools useful and generally worth while (esp. compared to Excel)

Question 2: Please recommend a good scrum tool.  I want it as simple and easy to learn as possible.

(However, I have experimented with Scrumwise .... it is very simple but seems to lack functionality such as reports.  Also, I want to group tasks together and have sub tasks).

Any advice on an easy to learn web-based tool?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
