Exchange 2010 SP3 / Outlook 2010

Good Day

I have a user in an Exchange 2010 SP3 environment, accessing his mailbox using outlook 2010 client. Up until last week the user had no issues, the problem is that the user is only seeing emails for the past 7 days. I checked and verified no view filters are applied. The user is also only seeing the same items via OWA.

I want to know if it is possible to check a "mailbox log" file to determine if the user did not delete the items they claim are missing?

I think by default if the user deleted and emptied his recycling bin exchange allows up to 14 days to recover items removed from the bin.  Open up outlook > folder tab > Recover Deleted Items.
