asked on
windows explorer navigation pane sort order?
With Windows 7, is it possible to change the order of items on the navigation pane in the Explorer view? I've seen many articles about enabling / disabling what appears there through regedit, but not really anything about changing their order. thanks.

Nope. For example, my navigation pane looks like this in explorer:
Favorites
Libraries
Computer
Network
Can it be switched around to display:
Favorites
Computer

Libraries

@AxISQS - Thank you. May I recommend to you xPlorer2 by zabkat.com. I use this all the time in both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
xPlorer2 is geared to file exploring, and although it puts libraries up to, it opens (right hand side) to Computer. This is more effective to me.
The many settings in xPlorer2 can be saved in the settings file and maintained until changed again.
