IP address managment software

Any other IP address management, like the Infoblox IPAM Express. I'd like to establish a baseline before I implement it in my organization. Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Cisco Network Registrar

Alcatel/Lucent VitalQIP

BlueCat Networks

My company uses the QIP product.  It works very well, but it's quite expensive.  We've considered replacing it due to cost.  I've looked at InfoBlox and BlueCat.  Both seem to have a good product, but I've not personally used either one.  Cisco bought Network Registrar some years ago, and I haven't looked at it in a while, but it's still around.  Cisco makes very solid routers and switches, but their UI work has always been less than stellar on the platforms I've dealt with (ASA, CSM, Cisco Works, etc).  Might be worth a look to see if they've made any improvements to it.

Yes. QIP is too expensive. I don't think we can afford that. I am just curious. How much for the QIP package? Thanks

We're under non-disclosure on the pricing, but I can tell you that they were charging us by the amount of active IP addresses (static plus dhcp assigned).  The maintenance was also pricey.  We have just shy of 100k addresses and the license plus maintenance was close to that number last time I looked at it.
