IOS and Configuration are two different files.<br />

Upgrading the IOS does not affect the configuration. However, upgrading the IOS with another one with different features may cause a configuration to be disabled but still present.<br />

Upgrading the IOS does not affect the configuration. However, upgrading the IOS with another one with different features may cause a configuration to be disabled but still present.

How to update Cisco OS version

Networking hardware includes the physical devices facilitating the use of a computer network. A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments.
