Lotus Domino Lockout

Hi Guys,

We have had a lotus developer working for us for over 4 years and has recently left. Due to the nature of our data we need to ensure that he no longer has any access to our louts going forward. Apart from adding him to the deny group and removing his access from the domino server administrators is there anything else that we should be aware of?

Those are indeed the things to do.

What you can never be sure of is whether he obtained other ids while working with you: test-ids, maybe user ids, but hopefully not the cert.id. That could be considered theft.

Do you allow access to your Domino server from the outside, directly? You could set up a passthru server in a DMZ. That would be a lot of work for one person who left the company...

In addition to to what " sjef_bosman" mentioned I highly recommend you to make sure that this developer's name is added to the " Deny Access List " . Additionally, check the Server Access http://www-12.lotus.com/ldd/doc/domino_notes/rnext/help6_admin.nsf/2e73cbb2141acefa85256b8700688cea/8edeaa7212e3010285256c1d00398246?OpenDocument

And Make sure he has no access to the server .

Sorry, but in my opinion this is one "No longer needed" too many. If I remember correctly you posted several questions in the recent history that you withdrew after obtaining confirmation or a good answer, all claiming that "it's no longer needed because the system has changed". I find this very hard to believe, and I feel that good answers to your questions haven't been rewarded the way they should.

Hence my objection.

Sjef, i have gone through last 10 or so questions and all have had points awarded.
So again it was not meant to cause any issues, I gain nothing from not providing points.
The last question you helped me on I awarded you all 500 points (10 questions ago)

Not angry or so, and it's not the points, it's the impression that we get when yet another question isn't completed because "the circumstances have changed". While that may be true, it is not relevant for the question as such, You asked for some validation of your assumptions, which we presented, and within 2 weeks you no longer need the answer? That's not fair, I'd say, and it won't help other EE users searching for confirmation .

Thanks for closing the question more appropriately. Let's wait and see if a Moderator has a different opinion.
