XP Settings for attached monitor to Acer Aspire One laptop

I have an Acer Aspire One laptop.  I connected my big LCD display to it and I get the display on on the monitor but, I have to keep moving everything over from the small screen to the big screen.

Isn't there a way I can set this up so that the bigger display is simply a duplicate clone of everything I see on the small screen, without having to move things from the small display to the bigger display every time a new window opens?

The OS is Windows XP home edition 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.

Wow! !!!  Neat.  Repeatedly hitting that key combination cycles through the options available

I didn't know that. Thank you.

Exactly what I needed.
Great. You hit the keys [not me ;-)] :-)
