Seagate NAS220

I have a NSA220 and don't have the password.. besides hitting the reset button, is there a way around that?  also, If I do use the reset button, will it erase all data on drive?

thanks !!

You could wait until you remember the password...

A reset doesn't delete any data, it just restores the OS to it's factory default settings. But that shouldn't be anything to worry about anyway, since all you'd have to do if data is lost would be to restore it from your backups...

Pushing the reset button won't delete any data; but, it will remove any users, folder permissions, and special network settings.  If it is a simple setup, do it and then put them back.
