I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could wait until you remember the password...

A reset doesn't delete any data, it just restores the OS to it's factory default settings. But that shouldn't be anything to worry about anyway, since all you'd have to do if data is lost would be to restore it from your backups...

Pushing the reset button won't delete any data; but, it will remove any users, folder permissions, and special network settings.  If it is a simple setup, do it and then put them back.
