Problem enabling Sage 3rd party integration

Hello,

We are trying to enable the 3rd Party Integration of Sage 50 Accounts.
On each machine we tried to enter the Serial Number and Activation Code we get Sage Data Objects failed to register.

The exact Sage product version is Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2013 Version 19.01.11.285, mostly on Windows 7 machines.

Any ideas?

Hi

Probably a case of registering the objects manually on each machine. So it's a case of running  regsvr32 "path and FileName.dll"

The file for you should be something *sdo.dll in the Sage 50 install directory

My guess would be that you are trying to register it using an incorrect serial number and activation key. Maybe the product serial number and activation or a 3rd party serial and activation key for an earlier version of Sage 50

The format of a 3rd party key is SD followed by 5 numbers.
You need a new one for each version of Sage 50.
The keys are free.
I suggest you ring sage and ask them to provide you with a new key.
MAKE SURE it is a 3rd party key, MAKE SURE it is for the correct version of Sage 50 and you should be fine.

That was exactly what happened. There was an upgrade to version 2014 that we didn't take into account.
