how to disable wireless on dell desktop through registry

I have an office full of Dell Vostro's that have built in wireless cards. We are not sure if they are causing some of our disconnection issues but they are all connected with a cable also. I want to disable the wireless on the units but would like to be able to push down a registry entry through a GPO or batch file/script.
The wireless adapter installed is a Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4Ghz) and the version of that driver is v9.2.0.470 dated 12/12/2011. Driver provider is Atheros Communications.

Any way to do this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

from here:

devCon is a command line interface to the device manager:

Then here's a tutorial on how to disable the wireless adapters, which can be done via batch:
