I want a function in Excel that would filter according to the bold text content and another function to calculate the count of bold cells.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

whyse !!! didn't know about GET.Cell function and assume that the 20 is for testing bold ?

one think you need to whatchout for is that this function is not volatile and if the format changes on any cell to bold it will not automatically trigger a true in your formula unless you press F9 enter in edit in any of the other cells in the workbook.
