Windows 7 Kernal/System service listening port 8000 ?

Hi Experts,

I have a problem in my workstation and it's listening the port 8000. And can't shut it down since it's runs inside the Kernel/System.

The HTTP response of the server lists Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0.

I have already tested shutting down all the IIS related services and there won't be any MS SQL reporting service as well.

How do I drill down this problem ?

Thanks a lot !

enable your windows firewall and block the port.

That dose not help since I'm awaiting to host another service on the same port.

Tnx !

Run msconfig and start with a clean boot until you find the offending program , that or the machine may be infected with malware  (scan with malware bytes)
