Server2008R2 Hyper-V Convert Dynamic VHD to Fixed of BIGGER size.
Hi,
I'd like to backup the VHDs on a Hyper-V host, overnight, ideally whilst on-line. The VMs are dynamic therefore I understand that only offline backup is possible (without throwing vast amounts of money at it).
How can I, for example, take an existing dynamic VM (with a max expansion size of, say, 1TB) and convert it to a 1.5TB FIXED VHD?
Are the tools in Hyper-V capable or is it a 3rd party job?
Alternatively, any affordable tips on backing up online dynamic VHDs will be gratefully received too :-)
Kind regards,
Andy.
