Recommendations for protection of Company email on users' devices

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations when it comes to putting company email on user devices? I am concerned about the UK Data Protection Act which seems to imply that I have to take steps to protect company data (emails) on user's personal devices.

The end users will mainly have Apple iPads and iPhones, or maybe Android or Blackberry devices.

I need some way of providing them access to their emails (via ActiveSync or maybe IMAP) whilst enforcing security of their personal devices like lock-codes and sandboxing the email so other apps cannot get access to Address Lists or Personal Emails.

Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

You can do many things with activesync policies like enforce passcodes as well as other options too.

Here is one good solution. I listened in on one of their presentation once. It sounded/looked very nice. Basically its a sandbox environment within the phone. Easy to use and very safe.

This also seemed really good but doesn't support push email on IOS :-(
