Dynamics CRM Dialog Update Number filed from responce Text

Hi

I have a Dialoge which collect a companies turnover.  It does this as a text field and thus will not allow me to select it when I try to update the Lead record.

How do I get round this?

Many thanks

Hi,

Are you using this as a Variable or Input Argument? And what datatype is assigned to it? And what Attribute on the lead record you want to update?

HI

I'm not using a variable, should I be?

No Input Argument.

I'm trying to update a Number filed (customer one called Turnover) on a Lead Record.

Thanks

Hi,

If you're not using variables/Input Arguments then how do you collect the value? Can you be more specific?

the value is collect via the prompt and response, yes on log response is selected.

I can use this value to update a single line text field on the Lead Record with no problems.

Check with both datatypes... The attribute on the lead form and the one which is being collected; both should match.

Select Integer instead of Whole Number.

Here, Whole Number = Integer.

Check below link-
http://www.dynamicscrmtrickbag.com/2011/08/03/building-business-processes-in-dynamics-crm-2011-installment-9/

It says-
Use Whole Number for integer values, in the range of -2 billion or so to +2 billion or thereabouts.

arrr I see now, you cant change the data type of the response once you've saved it.

I've recreated the prompt and response and now it lets me pick the data type for single line.

many thanks for your help.
