Access Database 2007

Error "You can't assign a value to this object"
*The object may be a control on a ready-only form.
*The object may be on a form that is open in Design View
*The value may be too large for this field

I keep getting the above error on the first entry of the day into a Access 2007 entry form.  When I click OK the field I'm trying to enter get's populated.  I've tried a couple of different fields, but regardless I get the same error.  I'm trying to develop this database for a client...this is my first Access Database, but I don't want to get the client something that will give them errors first thing.  Can anyone help me with this?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You did not post any details, but this sound like you are string to insert something into a field or object, that it cannot accept.

For example, you are tying to insert a recordset into a Controlsource
Or you are trying to insert an image into a textbox
Or you are using code to inset/change a value, and your syntax is wrong.
...or it may be one of the things that is explicit listed in the errior...

So please post the code you are using, and state what line the error occurs on.

If it is not in the code, them please post a small sample database that exhibits this issue, ...and list the exact steps to replicate the error.
