Do i need Microsoft SQL server or any part of ?

Ive inherited a win7 machine that was used as a server, and shows these programs in program features,

SQL management studio express
SQL native client
SQL Vsswriter
SQL 2005 compact edition

Im assuming as im not using the machine as  a server i can remove these programs, but wondering if any of these come as part of win7 or might be needed so dont want to uninstall if so, do you just install the SQL server one or do all have to be removed one by one?

If i start the remove option, it asks remove SQL instance / database name etc

Just checking incase i mess up,  some guidance please !

If you do not plan on running SQL on that machine anymore, then there is no reason you cannot remove those components.

Those components are the client components for SQL Server 2005 Express edition; Now if you have no use sql server at all , you can safely remove them, that didn't come as part of Windows 7
