Getting PHP error

I keep getting the following PHP error warning but not sure how do i fix this

Strict standards: Declaration of issue::gettbl() should be compatible with TIC_CLASS::gettbl($parentClass = NULL, $parentID = NULL, $manualClass = NULL, $special = NULL, $manualTitle = NULL)

This is how the function is declared.

static function getListTable($dashboard=NULL){
}

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Well, since no part of "issue::gettbl()" is in the sample you posted, we can't really help you.  There's just not enough information.  Is this something you wrote yourself or is it part of someone else's code?  Something we can look at somewhere?

That makes no sense.  The error message talks about issue::gettbl() and the code you showed us provides this method: getListTable($dashboard=NULL).

Usually error messages have line numbers to help you find the source of trouble!

Sorry the function is

static function gettbl($dashboard=NULL){
}

That's not enough to work with.  The error is in the details and I don't see any.  If that really is the entire piece of code then the problem is probably that there isn't anything there.  No function content.  Your '$dashboard' variable is not being used in that code you posted.

Try this and see if your error changes.
static function gettbl($dashboard=NULL){
$test = $dashboard;
}
