"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is going to sound trite, but you shouldn't be running code that's throwing errors to the user.

Trap your errors with set_error_handler, and if you have fatal errors you just can't fix you can use register_shutdown_function to set up a handler for those.

In the end the experience for your users will be much improved.

I always keep errors and warnings on because hiding them does not make them go away, it just makes it a mystery why things aren't working.  I would rather have customers call up and tell me something is wrong so I can fix.  Otherwise, they just go away and what good is that?
