After looking up the HP, it looks like the motherboard has PCI slots, in fact it looks like it has a PCI Express 2.0 slot. The card is a PCI X 3.0 but that is backwards compatible to 2.0. So yes, that card should fit with no problems but you might not get the performance you should when it comes to gaming. Not sure what the computer will be used for or why they need that nice of a graphics card.

It is for wedding ring/jewellery design.
The card will work assuming there is a port open (which there should be or you might replace the current stock graphics card). For wedding ring/jewelry design do you know what software will be used? Mainly photoshop or a 3D software such as Maya? The reason I ask is that just because it's a high-end card doesn't mean its the best bang for your buck depending on what you are going to use it for. People buy expensive gaming cards for photoshop but there isn't a large improvement in performance since the card isn't designed for image-editing but rather gaming or perhaps image-rendering.
It is an application called "CounterSketch Studio - Gemvision" which according to their support page it requires the Nvidia Geforce GTX 540, 640, 740 but they recommend the Nvidia GeForce GTX 560, 660, 760 or better.

so... looking at the figures I assume this sits in the middle somewhere?
