Citrix Receiver could not open specified profile file

Running Citrix XenApp 6.5 Farm, when users launch a streamed application, Citrix Receiver returns error "could not open specified profile file. check the profile path specified". Path permissions have been checked, and some users have no problem launching the application. Roaming profiles have also been cleared and permissions reset. This occurs across all servers in Worker group, and can be repeated by specific users.

Has there been any changes to the users profile?  I've seen this with an upgrade to User Profile manager. try giving the user a new profile. you can also Delete the rade cache on the xenapp server- dsmaint recreaterade.
another option would be to open the package and save with a new name and link that to the published application.
