Team Foundation Server

Does anyone know how to integrate Team Foundation Server 2012 with  Visual Studio so my remote team (a group of consultants) can connect to this TFS Repository and check in / check out instead of them using an archaic system in their office??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This might also be helpful, as it reviews the system layout for accomplishing this, so you can make sure you have all the pieces in place (though it doesn't give actual configuration options, just overview):

All that said, TFS is just a collection of web services running at a particular address, and you expose them the same way your expose any web server. You'll need to enable remote HTTP (or, ideally, HTTPS) access to this server and port (if the offices don't already have it via something like a VPN) and ensure they can connect. However, there's nothing special here - just expose the URL to your remote sites and they'll be able to access it just like they're local.
