We've asked everyone to clean up their email and to delete sync issues and then empty the Deleted Items folder.
One user, the receptionist, is receiving non-read deliver receipts from at least 2 users, and I suspect everyone, for emails that came from other people.
What is happening, is the receptionist seems to be a "catchall" recipient for any email that was deleted and never read, at least for internal emails, no matter who the sender was and who is deleting them from their own email.
Again, the receptionist was not the sender, and so far all of the senders were internal users.
We want to shut this off, but we have not been able to locate any Exchange functionality that does this, and there's nothing in her Outlook enabled for any type of delivery receipts.
We were not able to find anything in Google either, yes there are ways to do delivery receipts, but not a "catchall" for the whole company.
