Folder redirection Libraries not working

We have a 2008 server running AD.

The computers are all windows 7 pro.

We have used GPO to redirect My Documents to the users home directory.

We have some users that get the error Some library features are unavailable.

We can navigate to the folders through mapped drive with out issue.

We have turned on search service role already.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is the "some library features are unavailable" message the only problem you are getting? If so, you can ignore that or try enabling/disabling offline files (they need to be enabled on the client side). If that is not an option for you, you can disable rich libraries through GPO or install Windows Search on the server and make sure the home folders are indexed.

Disabling Library features which depends file indexing. This is done via group policy:

User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer > Turn off Windows Libraries features that rely on indexed file data
Set this policy to Enabled.

Also, if you search around on the internet there is also a registry key you can edit to disable that "some library features are unavailable message".

You may want to check this one as well:

Finally, you could edit the .xml file below and publish it through GPO:
